Clarence Jesse Carney, age 72 of Bear, DE, died April 13, 2016 at home.

Jesse, was a graduate of Carson Long Military Academy. He attended Wesley College, Dover, DE, and he served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Masonic Unity Lodge # 32 A.F.& A.M. Newport, DE.

Jesse is survived by his loving wife, Patricia L. Carney, his sister, Beverly C. Hughes (Paul), his brother in law, Harvey H. Thompson (Judy), his sister in-law, Roberta Thompson, his nephew, Scott Thompson (Pam), his nephew, Christopher Thompson (Bea), his niece, Kimberly Thompson, his nephew, Bret Thompson (Megan), his niece, Heather Hennessy (Jim), his nephew Paul Hughes III (Michelle), several great nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family.

A Funeral Service and Burial will be private.
