Love Emblem

Dolores Arpino, born in Philadelphia on May 28, 1928, passed away peacefully in her home near Cooch's Bridge in Newark, Delaware on June 27, 2016 at the age of 88.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, and is survived by her children, Shelley Flickinger (John) of Middletown, DE, Dorie Swartout (Dave) of Hockessin, DE, Jamie Arpino (Jackie) also of Middletown, DE; her grandchildren, Carrie Cochran, Ryan Flickinger and Jenna Flickinger, Shawn, Sommer and Brandon Swartout, Gray, Alec and Kelsi Arpino; and 7 great grandchildren.

"Dee" touched a lot of people's lives through the years and was a comfort to many. She had a lifelong interest in a variety of subjects and enjoyed reading and teaching others what she had learned.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral service.
