Frances Marie Sammons, (Franny), 76, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in her home surrounded by family and friends after a short battle with stomach cancer.
Franny was born in Wilmington, Delaware on December 23, 1939. She met her husband, Albert Sammons Sr. while working at Woolworths where he came in to order milkshakes from the girl with pretty blue eyes. Together they owned and operated Arrow Leasing Corporation in Bear, Delaware for 18 years. She was a member of Red Hats and Bitch and Stitch and enjoyed bowling on leagues and gardening. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Sammons Sr., brothers, Ben and Joseph Krakowski, parents Bernard and Tessie Krakowski. Franny is survived by her son Albert Sammons, Jr and his wife Monica, and brother John Krakowski (Joan). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Rachael, Carl, Tessa, Taylor, Damian, Wesley, and Rylee, four great grandchildren, Alijah, Cadence, Dyllon, and Rosie and special friends, Phyllis, Carol, Debbie, Joan, Janet, Dawn, and nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles and her Arrow family.
Friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702 from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 801 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720 on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
