Linda Joan Leedom, age 64 of Newark, Delaware died on Sunday May 7, 2017 at the Seasons Hospice Unit at Christiana Hospital.

Linda was married to her best friend Howard Leedom for over 45 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, friend and most definitely a grandmother. Linda received her Associates Degree from Delaware Technical Community College but was best known as a homemaker and in-home day care provider.

She was a member of Ogletown Baptist Church for over 25 years where she regularly served in the nursery. Linda just recently (2015) became an LVAD patient at Christiana Hospital.

Linda is survived by her husband Howard, children Jesse Leedom (Lorraine), Betty Jo Vreeland (Ken), and Carrie Mistler (Joseph), her sisters Carrie Jane Lawler, Joyce Barrar and Janice Ward and her brother Robert Webber. Linda's 8 grandchildren were her pride and joy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Ogletown Baptist Church, 316 Red Mill Road Newark DE 19713 where friends may call at 10:00 am. The Committal Service will follow at 2:00 in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE. Friends may also call on Monday May 15, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark DE 19702.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her name to LVAD Program at Christiana Care, 13 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.
