Louis H. Prange passed away suddenly on Monday, October 31, 2016. He was 58 years old and a resident of Bear, Delaware. He was born in Queens, New York on May 3, 1958. He was the son of the late Frederick Prange and Eileen (Metzger) Prange. He is survived by his loving wife Luci (Naseef) Prange, daughter Jessica (Prange) Krissoff and husband Christopher Krissoff, son Ryan Prange and step-children, Rebecca and Chad Brawn, Brandon Schulze and 4 grandchildren, Abigail and Emily Krissoff, as well as Cheyanne and Colten Brawn, and brother Fred Prange, wife Carol and their two daughters Chrissy and Katie.
Lou was currently employed as a cable contractor, and was a graduate of Monmouth University. In his spare time, he was an avid gardener. It began in spring with mulching all the flower beds and visiting all the nurseries and finding the newest, latest and greatest flowers, plants and seeds. Using his homemade hot house, he nurtured his vegetables from seeds until they were ready for the great outdoors. Once it was time to harvest the garden, he thoroughly enjoyed canning, pickling and turning his fresh vegetables into the culinary delights of Prange's Pickled Produce. Another favorite pass time was baking cookies and making fudge around the holidays, the only problem was he baked enough to feed a small army (but the kids never minded this). However, when it came to chocolate there was no sharing of his Hershey's candy bars, Tootsie Rolls or Dairy Queen cones. More important than all of that was the deep love and devotion he had for his family. He lit up the eyes of all of his grandchildren and made them giggle like no one else could. He was one of a kind. He always created a safe, loving, warm, creative and fun network for his family.
Relatives and friends are invited to Lou's visitation at 11:00 am and memorial service at 12:00 pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Delaware 19702; Saturday, November 5, 2016. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to: https://www.woundedwarriorproject.org
