Michael Todd Lanham, age 41, of Bear, DE, passed away on April 19, 2017. Michael was a graduate of Glasgow High School Class of 1994, where he played football and baseball. He loved his job working for ICS at the Port of Wilmington as a heavy equipment operator.

The center of Michael's world was his daughter, Brittany. They shared an unbreakable bond, and she was his proudest accomplishment. Michael was known for his huge heart and willingness to help anyone, especially his family. He always had the backs of those he cared about.

Michael brought a resounding presence into every room he entered, and he always radiated the most positive energy of anyone there. His smile was contagious, and he had a wonderful sense of humor. Michael loved football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. He loved to match his outfits with his epic Jordan collection.

In addition to his daughter, Brittany, Michael leaves behind his devoted parents, David and Bonnie Lanham of Bear; his brother David Lanham (Maria) of Winchester, Virginia; his sister Annette McDermott (John) of Bear; two nephews, David and John; three nieces, Amanda, Sara, and Sierra; his four-legged best friend, Cody, and many extended family and friends.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at 1 PM at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE, 19702. Friends may call on Monday, April 24, 2017 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
