Richard J. Lemieux, age 57, of Hartly, DE and Delaware resident of 30 years, passed away suddenly at his home Thursday, September 1, 2016.

Born September 5, 1959 in Norwich, Connecticut, Rich was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret (Bracci) Lemieux, father, Richard E. Lemieux, and his niece, Kelli Lemieux. He is survived by his son, Christopher and daughter, Danielle. He is also survived by his brothers, Larry Lemieux of Egg Harbor Township NJ, Roy Lemieux of Stuart FL, and sisters, Kristi Dekerlegand of Somerdale NJ and Tammy Stewart of Somers Point, NJ. Rich was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Rich served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was employed as a network professional for over 30 years, most recently at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in Newark, DE as a Manager with the Remote Management Services group. Rich was previously employed by Bank of America and JP Morgan. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and hunting in his free time with family and friends. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and boating.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702, where family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 12:00: PM to 1:15 PM. Friends and family are also invited to attend a Military Tribute directly following at 2:00 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE, 19701. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
