Tammy L. Young age 47 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully at home on the afternoon of September 4, 2016.

Tammy was born in New Castle and raised by her mother Mildred in the Wilmington Manor Gardens community. After completing high school, she went on to work for Wilmington Trust in the trust operations area, and most recently served in the Hospitality Ministry at Cornerstone Church.

Tammy was a homebody, with a big personality and a big smile who enjoyed her family, her friends, her faith, and if you knew Tammy, her food. She was a true Christian soldier, and credited her walk with the Lord in giving her life purpose, passion, understanding and acceptance.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 17 years, David, her sons Joseph Walker and Donald Young, daughter Eva Young, her sweet twin grandchildren Mackenzie and Mason, brother George Weaver of Newark, DE and wife Vikki, sister Charlotte Weaver of Melbourne Beach, FL, brothers-in-law Tim and wife Karen, Michael and wife Joanne, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Tammy L. Young will be held at Cornerstone Church, Summit Bridge Rd. in Bear, DE on September 15, 2016 at 7:00 pm. All are welcome.
