Thomas Joseph Pont, age 74, of Bear, Delaware, formerly of Stonington, CT, died on Monday September 5th, 2016.

Thomas graduated Stonington High School in 1960. He worked for over 35 years as a pipefitter and welder along the East coast. Mr. Pont learned his trade with General Dynamics as a young man and soon joined various Pipefitter/Welder Unions. Thomas specialized in nuclear pipefitting. During his free time Mr. Pont enjoyed his summer vacations at Meadow Side camp ground in Woodstock, CT. He enjoyed baseball and always loved to watch his favorite team the Boston Red Sox.

Thomas is predeceased by his wife Marybeth Pont and his brother Ronald Pont.
Mr. Pont is survived by his two daughters Kelli Allen, Karen Gaffney, his three sons David, Brian, and Wade Rosenberger, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 9th, 2016 at 2 PM at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark DE 19702. Friends and family are welcome to attend the visitation at 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
