Thomas Woodrow Pollard, Sr., age 71, of North East, MD, formerly of New Castle, DE, passed away on Saturday December 31, 2016 with his loving family by his side.
Tom enjoyed spending time on his boat with his family. He loved fishing and crabbing with his children, family, and friends and enjoyed playing pool with friends. Tom had a great love of woodworking and was very proud of the wooden toys he made for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a master Mason and was a member of the Nur Temple Lodge of New Castle, DE.
Tom is survived by his wife Mary Margaret Pollard, his son Thomas W. Pollard, Jr. (Kathleen) of North East, MD, his two daughters Jeanette M. Currey (Greg) of New Castle, DE and Jennifer A. Dill of North East, MD along with 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at 6 PM at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at 11 AM at Beeson Funeral Home. The committal service will follow at 1 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Rd, Bear, DE 19701.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Howard Weston Senior Center, 1 Bassett Avenue, Manor Park, New Castle, DE 19720.
