Wayne J. Petrella, Sr., age 73, of Bear passed away on Sunday December 11, 2016 at home with his family.
Wayne graduated from Temple Technical Institute in 1963. He also attended Drexel University.
Mr. Petrella was a designer and engineer at several companies, including Kling-Linquist, United Engineers, Leonard Weger and Associates in Philadelphia, PA. Wayne also worked at Simon-Eastern and Facilities Group in Atlanta, GA.
He is survived by his wife Laura Petrella of 52 years, his 3 sons Wayne, Jr. (Donna), Bradley (Cindy), and Andrew, Sr. (Renea). His daughter Laurie and grandchildren Brandon, Evan, Corey, Dominick, Caleb, Andrew, Jr., Christopher, Becky, Isaac, Anthony, and Annamarie and her significant other Stephen Smith.
A Visitation will be held on Friday December 16, 2016 at 11 am at Beeson Funeral Home 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark DE 19702. The Burial Service will immediately follow the visitation on Friday at 1 pm at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington DE 19808.
