William "Pop" Henry Allen, of North East, MD, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the age of 91. He went to join his wife of 67 years, Norma Alberta Allen, who left this world in January, and will now be forever together.

He also goes to join his daughter, Deborah Slaughter, who went before him six years ago.

He is survived and will be sadly missed by his sons, William Allen V (& Robin) of New Castle, DE, Dennis Allen (& Emily Smith) of North East, MD, Chris Allen (& Betsy Caron) of Elkton, MD, Terry Allen (& Jackie) of Middletown, DE, Larry Allen (& Melissa) of Rising Sun, MD, and his daughters, Bonnie Allen of North East, MD, and Vicki Allen (& Doyle Fenimore) of North East, MD. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Elizabeth Allen of Elkton, MD, one brother, Richard Allen of Elkton, MD, thirteen grandchildren, William VI, David , Jaime, Dennis Jr, Melissa, Kim, Christina, Sunshine, Wesley, Vicki, Hayley, Mason, and Brady, and many greatgrandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice for their amazing care and guidance, and would like to add a very special thank you to his daughter-in-law Emily Smith for the loving and compassionate care she provided in his final months of life.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Gracelawn Memorial Park, where a funeral service will begin at 11:00am. Burial will be in the adjoining memorial park.
